Her 2008 debut album earned a Grammy nomination and made it to no. 7 on the charts in Japan. She sings in seven languages and has a classically trained four-octave range, but it’s her exquisite phrasing and her ability to seamlessly move from ballads to bossa nova that make her sultry vocals marvelous.
