A consummate artist whose accomplishments over a 40 year career has included Broadway (Jesus Christ Superstar, Pippin), television (Roots, Webster, Fresh Prince of Bel-Air) and film (Sweet Charity, All That Jazz, Idlewild). Onstage, Vereen exhibits an inexhaustible joy for performance. | |||
