| Description: | Beginning in 1941, the City and County of Honolulus N� Hula Festival has celebrated the artistry and grace of Hawaiis premiere dance form - Hula. The N� Hula Festival is Hawaiis longest running annual, noncompetitive hula event. This hula festival began as a means to provide a venue for the kumu hula of the Department of Parks & Recreation to h�ike their haum�na. Currently, some of the kumu who participate in the hula festival teach in the parks and some of the other kumu are from the community. Please bring your h�lii (covering, spread), and enjoy a beautiful, relaxing day of hula at the park. Food and craft vendors will be available. Admission is free. Event time: 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. | |
