| Description: | Hawaiis Woodshow 2007 is the fifteenth annual exhibit of the finest woodworking that Hawaii has to offer. The show is a state-wide, juried exhibition that showcases the work of Hawaiis premier wood artists. Hawaiis Woodshow features over 100 pieces hand crafted from dozens of beautiful locally-grown woods. Each piece is required to be made primarily of locally- grown, either native or introduced, woods. This show endeavors to promote not only the excellent craftsmanship of our woodworkers, but also to impart an appreciation for the wide variety of trees which can be grown here in the islands in a sustainable manner. The use of certain native woods that are endangered or rare are prohibited. The majority of these works are for sale and many of the exhibiting artists are available for commissions. | |
